Set in the heart of Somerset, it offers the advantage of being close to Exmoor National Park and many NT properties, only 11 miles from Taunton and just off the M5. Devon and Cornwall are easily accessible as are Bath and Bristol. Pytt House is ideally situated for exploring the unspoilt countryside of Somerset and is within easy access of picturesque villages and bustling markets. The small market town of Wellington is 7 miles, and the historic market town of Taunton is just 11 miles, with all the top names in shopping, eating, drinking and leisure entertainment. Oak Manor Golf Club is 8 miles away. For those who love walking, the Quantocks, the Blackdown Hills and Exmoor are close by and are wonderfully unspoilt and peaceful. Horse riding, fishing, golf, bird watching and water sports are available locally and there are many places to visit including Crealy Adventure Park. Exeter with its fabulous cathedral, many shops, canal and quaint hidden pubs is close by. Exmouth with its sandy beaches is only 35 minutes, or take a trip to Exmoor National Park and look out for red deer and ponies. There are many villages well worth visiting across Exmoor, take time out for a cream tea, or stop to see some breathtaking scenery. Cothay Manor is 3 miles; Glastonbury and Cheddar Caves are within driving distance. Minehead is not far away, with its sandy beach, steam railway and shops. It is hard to believe just how amazingly pretty and peaceful this tiny hamlet really is - just a church with a 3,000 year old yew tree, a few cottages, and farmland all around in a totally unspoilt and most unvisited corner of west Somerset.
