On the boundary of Somerset’s Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, this is an ideal place for walkers, bird-watchers, cyclists or for those who want a peaceful holiday. There is fly fishing available by arrangement in the river just 200 yards from the property, and there are many places to visit including Crealy Adventure Park which is just outside Exeter. Exeter with its fabulous cathedral, many shops, canal and quaint hidden pubs is close by, as is Taunton with its array of shops. Exmouth with its sandy beaches is only 35 minutes away or take a trip to Exmoor National Park and look out for red deer and ponies, or take a Landrover ride across the rugged terrain. There are many villages well worth visiting across Exmoor, take time out for a cream tea, or stop to see some breathtaking scenery. There are many National Trust places close by including Arlington Court, Watersmeet and Dunster Castle, as well as Tropicana Reptile World and Marwood Gardens. Glastonbury and Cheddar Caves are all within driving distance of the property, and well worth a day out. Minehead is not far away, with its sandy beach, steam railway and shops. It is hard to believe just how amazingly pretty and peaceful this tiny hamlet really is - just a church, a few cottages, and farmland all around in a totally unspoilt and most unvisited corner of West Somerset.
