Pepperpot is a self-contained annexe situated in very beautiful and peaceful countryside in the pretty hamlet of Kilton. Set in the foothills of the Quantocks, the property is within walking distance to the coastal footpath providing walkers with beautiful rugged scenery throughout the year. The Coleridge Way can easily be accessed, a new 36 mile trail through the stunning countryside of the Quantock Hills with its herds of ponies, the Brendon Hills and Exmoor. You can look for fossils on Kilve beach, an Area of Special Scientific Interest. Further along the coast is the seaside town of Minehead with its sandy beach, harbour fishing and coastal boat trips. Between Kilton and Minehead are several small quiet pebbled bays for those wishing to avoid the crowds and many welcome dogs all year. Also nearby is the Stockland Lovell Equestrian Centre and the West Somerset steam train.
The accommodation offers one double bedroom: approached by cottage stairs, with a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room with WC. Bathroom: downstairs, small hallway leads to the bathroom with shower over and WC. Lounge/diner: with woodburner (first basket of logs included), TV, and DVD. Kitchen: with electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washer/dryer. Outside: large enclosed private garden to the front of the property with seating and a built-in BBQ. Amenities: parking. It is situated in the pretty village of Nether Stowey and makes a perfect retreat for those wishing to explore the delights of Somerset and North Devon. The thriving village has 3 good pubs, post office, general store, farm shop and well-known connections, once being the home to the romantic poet Coleridge. Set in the foothills of the Quantocks and just a short drive from the South West Coastal Path and Exmoor National Park, walkers and nature lovers will be in their element. You will also be close to various attractions such as Wimbleball Reservoir with its boating and fishing, West Somerset Steam Railway, Dunster Castle, Hestercombe Gardens, Cleve Abbey and Clarks Village to name but a few.
