This peaceful cottage is interrupted only by the strains of birdsong. The village has a pub/restaurant, Post Office and general store just a minute's walk away. It also has a wonderful rock beach with a tea room, located less than a miles walk away, and is a haven for rock poolers, anglers and fossil finders. The nearby larger village of Williton, 5 miles away, has a range of stores, banks, a restaurant and several pubs. The property has a peaceful rural outlook, providing an ideal centre for walkers, with the spectacular Quantock Hills, the first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England, with the South West Path and Coleridge Way also on the doorstep. It provides the perfect base for experiencing the delights of West Somerset; its scenic coast, rural villages, medieval Dunster, historic Nether Stowey, the steam railway and the seaside town of Minehead (gateway to Exmoor), with Clarks Village, Wells, Cheddar Gorge and the county town of Taunton a little further afield.
The accommodation offers two bedrooms: 1 large double and 1 small twin with two 2' 6" beds (suitable for children only). Bathroom: shower over bath and WC. Lounge: comfy seating, SkyTV (Movie and Sports package), video, DVD and hi-fi. Kitchen/diner: spacious with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and ample seating around the table. Aldenham Cottage is approached through a private entrance shared only with the owner's neighbouring property - a warm welcome awaits but privacy is assured. It makes a perfect rural retreat for those wishing to enjoy the peace and seclusion of the surrounding countryside yet its central location makes it an ideal base for a touring holiday in the West Country. There are a contrast of places to visit West Somerset Steam Railway, Clarks Village, Taunton, Dunster Castle, the seaside town of Minehead and several small quiet bays and sandy coves. You are welcome to see the animals on the land including the goats and pig, and in the evening walk to the local pub serving good food.

The Creamery is a charming semi-detached converted barn situated within the grounds of The Old Rectory. It makes a perfect base for young families or couples wishing to explore the spectacular Quantock Hills and Exmoor National Park. The area has attractions to suit all tastes including The West Somerset Railway, Dunster Castle, The Clarkes Village at Street, Somerset World at Minehead and more. The old Roman city of Bath is also within easy reach. Further along the coast from Kilve is the seaside town of Minehead with its sandy beaches, harbour fishing and coastal boat trips.The village of Kilve has a village pub (2 minutes walk) which serves excellent food and a village store with Post Office. Further amenities are in the nearby village of Williton (approx 5 miles). About a mile from the cottage is a wonderful rocky beach, with a tea garden close by, serving cream teas and snacks. There are some very dramatic cliff walks looking down on to the beach below which is a haven for fossil hunters.
The accommodation is arranged on one floor with a step up to the entrance. The front door opens on to a hallway with boot and coat racks, and offers two bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin. Shower room: off the corridor, with WC. Lounge/diner/kitchen: cosy sociable, well-equipped room with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview and a DVD player. A washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in the communal laundry (£1 meter). Outside: enclosed garden with seating and BBQ. Amenities: on-site parking. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included. Regret no smoking within the property. 1 well behaved dog is welcome. Location: beach 1 mile, village pub and shop a few minutes walk.
