Portishead is a bustling town with many amenities, leisure facilities and shops. Nearby Bristol has many attractions. Long sandy beaches are in the nearby family resort of Weston Super Mare, or visit the smaller traditional resorts of Clevedon and Burnham on Sea. Further afield is the Roman spa city of Bath and Cheddar Gorge and caves. Shop and pub 1/2 mile.

Close to the marina
This attractive modern house is located on the edge of Portishead, enjoying partial views of the renovated marina. The town has many local traders, as well as views of the Severn Estuary, the Welsh coastline, both Severn Bridges and the Gordano Valley.
A walk through the woods leads to Portishead Beach and the coastal path, there are paths to the marina, the lighthouse and the bird sanctuary, and two bikes are provided.
12 miles away is the maritime heritage city of Bristol with its many attractions: visit Brunel’s ss Great Britain, Bristol Zoo, the award winning contemporary shopping malls such as Cabot Circus, and the many harbourside restaurants. Nearby coastal resorts are the family favourite Weston Super Mare with its miles of sandy beaches, the Victorian peaceful resort of Clevedon with its fully restored pier, and Burnham on Sea. Also within easy reach is the Roman Spa city of Bath, Cheddar Gorge and caves, and just over the Severn bridge the beautiful Wye valley.
