Located at the Market Place in front of the Town Hall, Wells Farmers Market takes place every Wednesday from 9:00am to 2:30pm (till 3:00pm in June, July, and August

Wells Farmers Market is a weekly Farmers Market of 17 food stalls which offer a huge variety and adjoins the excellent general market.

Beech Ridge Farm poultry and lamb;
Fliip - 4th Wed of the month.;

Goulds Cheese - 1st & 3rd Wed of each month;
Gruffs Goats - every 4th week;
Langfords Preserves;
Mendip Lavender - 1st Wednesday of month;
Mere Fish Farm;
Pure Pigs (alternate weeks);
Portbridge Vegetables;
Simply Cooking;
Terre Del Checco - 3rd wed of the month;
Wootton Organic Dairy;
Westcroft Farm Cider (alternate weeks);
The Glastonbury Dairy - 2nd, 4th & 5th wed of each month;

Wells itself is the smallest Cathedral city in England and has many fine cafes and historic areas to explore. Quite compact the range of shops offer something for everyone with independent retailers as well as a number of the usual chain stores such as Waterstones, WH Smiths as well as a good variety of inns and coffee shops.
