Burnham on Sea Food & Drink Festival

This is a home-grown effort to celebrate everything that is fresh and good in the South West in a great FREE to attend festival. Saturday 24th May 2014.

The Burnham on Sea Food and Drink festival is a free one-day festival with something for the whole family. Held in the town centre of this Victorian seaside town it is perfect for wet weather days and for strolling off the food and drink excesses on the seven miles of sandy beaches.

There are over 80 stalls showcasing the best food and drink from across Somerset in five indoor venues and a sprawling street market that connects them all. You will be able to buy everything from Caribbean Jerk Chicken, BBQ ribs and stone baked pizzas to festival staples such as ales, cheeses and breads. Many of the town centre shops offer deals to coincide with the festival and in May there is even a treasure trail through the town for younger visitors.

The festival is a feast for all the senses with baking and home brewing competitions, workshops, cooking demos and artisan producers all keen to tell the story of their stories.
