Map showing Abbey Tea Rooms, Glastonbury

Abbey Tea Rooms restaurant, Glastonbury

A traditional English tea room specialising in Somerset food, the Abbey Tea Rooms overlooks Glastonbury Abbey and is popular with visitors and locals alike. The owner for the past nineteen years is Mary Parker, from a local farming family, she is passionate about food. Using local ingredients and traditional cooking methods, together with old fashioned service, a visit here brings back memories from days long gone.

The Abbey Tea Rooms, with its view of the Abbey ruins, is situated opposite the Glastonbury Abbey car park in the centre of the world famous and historic town of Glastonbury in Somerset.

There is a traditional atmosphere in the Tea Rooms with waitress service, linen tablecloths, fresh flowers and pretty china. The walls are adorned with horse brasses, local pictures and photographs and pieces of decorative china, some of which are for sale.

The Abbey Tea Rooms is open every day (except Christmas Day) from 10am to 5pm offering something to suit the whole family from a selection of morning coffees, a wide range of homecooked lunches, and of course traditional afternoon teas with a variety of cakes, all displayed on a large table, that have all been made on the premises.
