Weston-super-Mare

Weston-super-Mare beach, Somerset

Weston Super Mare is an established seaside resort in Somerset. The highlight of the resort must surely be the Grand Pier. It was totally destroyed by fire in July 2008 but was rebuilt at the cost of £39 million, reopening on 23rd October 2010.

The pier hosts fun-packed family entertainments set on the long sandy west-facing main beach. Facilities include food, toilets, disabled toilets, shops and cafés. There are a number of well signed car parks dependent on your destination.

Once you have arrived there are plenty of things to do in Weston-super-Mare. Local entertainments, amusements on the pier, swimming, with watersports including sailing, windsurfing and jet-skiing.

The SeaQuarium on Marine Parade has recently celebrated its 20th Anniversary and is very popular with visitors. The Centre features 10 different zones with 30 exhibits, including an underwater walk-through tunnel and an open-topped British ray display.

Note: Dog restrictions apply on certain areas of Weston-super-Mare beach so please check local signage.
