W-S-M Grand Pier

Weston Super Mare is an established seaside resort in North Somerset.
Due to its proximity to Bristol and with excellent transport links, Weston-super-Mare is often busy, those requiring a little less bustle are advised to visit out of season.
The Grand Pier was built between 1903 and 1904 and was totally destroyed by fire in July 2008. It was rebuilt at the cost of £39 million, reopening on 23rd October 2010.
The Grand Pier has all the usual kiosks, shops, cafés and amusements, with swimming, watersports including sailing, windsurfing and jet-skiing a short walk away on the main beach.
There are a number of well signed car parks dependent on your destination.
The SeaQuarium on Marine Parade has recently celebrated its 20th Anniversary and is very popular with visitors. The Centre features 10 different zones with 30 exhibits, including an underwater walk-through tunnel and an open-topped British ray display.
Note: Dog restrictions apply on certain areas of Weston-super-Mare beach so please check local signage.
