2nd February

Concert of pop, blues and soul featuring Amy Wadge in a double headline gig with award-winning folk singer Luke Jackson.

Grammy winner Amy Wadge in concert at Stogumber with Luke Jackson

Grammy winner, Amy Wadge, is one of the UK's most prolific contemporary singer/songwriters. Over the last decade she has worked with top names such as James Blunt, Ms Dynamite, The Shires, LeAnn Rimes and Rebecca Ferguson as well as a score of up and coming musical talent. Her most noticeable success to date, however, comes from her long established writing partnership with Ed Sheeran which led to them winning 'Song of the Year' for Thinking Out Loud (and Ed also won 'Best Performer' for singing the track) in Los Angeles in February 2016. It is an exceptional privilege that Amy has agreed to play in Stogumber, West Somerset!

The concert will take place at 7.30pm on Friday, 2nd February 2018 at the Village Hall (satnav TA4 3TG). It will be an evening of Pop, Soul and Blues and is also a double-header because joining Amy on stage will be Luke Jackson. Luke is an awarding-winning folk artist who has played with the likes of Show of Hands, Seth Lakeman and the Oysterband, as well as performing his own gigs throughout the UK (sell outs 2 years in a row at the Edinburgh Fringe!), Europe and North America. This is Luke's fourth series of joint headline tours with Amy and together they make an outstanding duo which is destined to provide the audience with an unforgettable evening.

Just 100 seats are available. If you would like to attend, please ensure you purchase your tickets as soon as possible so that you do not miss out. They cost £12 each and are available either from the Stogumber Festival website (www.stogumberfestival.com), by calling 0845 539 0168 or in person from Central Stores, Stogumber.
