Bowhayes Farm is a thatched Devon longhouse built we think in the 1600 s. We have tried to retain its period features wherever possible and the accommodation has been finished to a very high standard using natural materials such as reclaimed oak and slate. br / br / Bowhayes Farm is the home of De-Stressage - a unique project that offers an insight into The Horses World . Our tame wild horses live outdoors 24/7 are unshod and live in social groups. Observing their interaction and serenity provides clients with an opportunity to see life from a new perspective. Programmes can be tailored to individuals needs and can include our Yoga on Horseback sessions which enhance core strength and body awareness. br / br / Situated in the beautiful Culm Valley on the edge of the Blackdown Hills AONB the farm offers breath-taking views and access to spectacular walks and cycle rides. br / br / Our accommodation has been designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. We want you to feel at home from home in the peace and privacy that we provide. br / br / We have associate practitioners providing a range of treatments such as Bowen Shiatsu Acupuncture beauty therapy etc that will visit by appointment br / br / Your own front door opens to self-contained accommodation comprising of 2 double bedrooms (the larger double can be made as a twin if required) with private bathrooms and a sitting room with wood-burning stove satellite TV DVD and free Wi-Fi. Kitchen facilities (mini oven with hob fridge tea and coffee making equipment toaster) are also provided giving the feel of a private cottage but with breakfast cooked for you! br / br / Your host will be available throughout your stay to advise on local amenities book tables and taxis and generally make your dreams come true! Delicious breakfasts and warm hospitality are our speciality!

Greenham Hall is a large Victorian family home in a peaceful rural setting. The rooms are spacious light comfortable and have lovely views from the windows. Guests are welcome to make use of the guest lounge and the garden. Situated on the Devon and Somerset border we are close to Exmoor If you like to visit historic houses and gardens Cothay Manor and Hestercombe and a variety of national trust properties including Knightshayes Court Barrington Court Killerton A la Ronde and Dunster Castle are all in reach. Museum lovers will find Taunton and Tiverton Museums fascinating. West Somerset Steam railway can take you from Bishops Lydard up to the North Coast with stops on the way. Walk or cycle along the Grand Western Canal or go in search of a meal at a country pub.

Wonderful beamed newly converted Cider Barn in pretty peaceful rural hamlet only 1 mile to Wellington. We have kept the character of this special high barn leaving its roof open showing 7 King posts and the original elm beams. It is warm and cosy we use an environmentally friendly air source heat pump and a large roaring woodburner. The bedrooms are light and look over the delightful garden/courtyard area. Comfortable high ceiling bedooms have chairs ensuite shower rooms flatscreen TV/DVDs wifi/intranet plug in points tea/coffee making and two have doors out to garden. One room has a bathroom with shower opposite. We have footpaths at our doorstep and you can stroll across fields to the peaceful River Tone - and even walk into Wellington town for pottering and shopping. Easy reach of Exmoor Brendons Quantocks and Blackdown Hills. Tucked quietly away yet only 3 miles M5 Junction 26.

Bishops Barton provides the perfect base to explore the South West just 10 minutes from Wellington and Junctions 26 and 27 of the M5. The small village of Greenham provides picture postcard rural living a Grade II listed local pub village shop river side walk and our own country mansion Cothay Manor.

Woodland wildlife and unspoiled landscapes abound. We are proud to be holders of the Green Tourism Gold Award and take part in Get Wild about Devon . br / br / br / br / While you are here why not take a course in traditional skills hedge laying arts or cookery walking or cycling in ancient woodlands flying lessons water or motor sports fishing enjoy the Jurassic coastline explore the antique shops of Honiton or Cathederal city of Exeter excellent farm shops cafés country pubs breweries and restaurants in the surrounding area and of course the beautiful Blackdown Hills themselves. Walkers & cyclists are welcome we have a secure drying area for bikes and wet weather clothes. br / br / br / br / We also offer a range of award winning courses in rural and traditional skills and crafts such as silversmithing glass bead making stone wood and willow work. br / br / br / br / Accommodation is available throughout the year however as we run short courses accommodation rooms will be reserved for those registered on a course.
