Highertown Cottage can be found in the tiny village of Brompton Regis (approx. 200 inhabitants) nestled in the Brenden Hills in the south east corner of Exmoor National Park in Somerset. With views of rolling farmland this 300 year old two storey cottage with its colourful patio garden has two upstairs double guest rooms which share the bathroom. Comfortably furnished with double glazing and central heating means cosy comfort all year round. A locally sourced hearty breakfast served in the main living room is included in the price and the local pub provides excellent evening meals. Walking cycling horse riding fishing and water sports at nearby Wimbleball Lake (1.8 miles away) are activities our guests can enjoy locally or just relax by the river with a cream tea and watch the world go by. The perfect place for a long or short stress-free break in beautiful Somerset. br / br / br / br / The local village shop is 2 doors away and sells a range of local jams honey and other produce - nice gifts to take home! The attractive town of Dulverton is 4.5 miles away with great local shopping a cash point in the supermarket and the headquarters of the Exmoor National Park. There are also a range of restaurants available to discover there. br / br / br / br / We regret that Highertown Cottage with its steep narrow staircase low ceilings and uneven upstairs floors is unsuitable for physically disabled guests. Older children are welcome (10 ) accompanied by an adult. Off-road parking is available next to the property.

The house dates from the 14th Century and has been sympathetically modernised to provide luxurious Exmoor B and B accommodation. The dining room features a large inglenook with log burner for those chilly mornings.
The Four Poster bedroom has an en-suite shower room and superb southerly views across the Devon countryside.
The Family Room has a double bed and a single bed (adult size) with southerly views. The room has a private bathroom, next door on the landing. The bathroom features a large roll-edge bath for a luxurious soak and separate shower cubicle for those with less time. Guests are welcome to relax or wander in the extensive gardens which surround the house. There are glorious views south over the Devon countryside and north to the wilds of Exmoor.

We have sheep, lambs, dogs and cats on the farm. In the wood to the north of the house you can often see wild Red Deer, badgers and foxes.

A luxury bed and breakfast, situated on the borders of Somerset, Devon & Exmoor National Park, offering evening dinner and bespoke cookery courses. A perfect venue for relaxing, romantic breaks and family and friend get-togethers

Originally an Exmoor hill farm, Streamcombe is tucked away in a secluded valley 2 miles from the town of Dulverton. It is a very peaceful location surrounded by woods, fields and amazing wildlife such as the Red Deer who are seen frequently in the fields along our driveway.

There are three beautiful double rooms all with contemporary ensuite bathrooms, Egyptian cotton towels, Turkish bedlinen and luxury toiletries. Freesat TV, radio alarm clocks, hairdriers and hot drink facilities are provided in each room. The Stable bedroom can also be a twin bedded room, situated on the ground floor it is ideal for older children or people with reduced mobility. The Hayloft has a tiny sundeck off the bedroom, a beautiful afternoon sun trap.
