The Arts Centre is the perfect venue for most events. With a large extension built in 2006 and a brand new kitchen installed in 2008, we can accommodate most functions - from plays to parties and from meetings to lessons.
The Main Hall is an excellent venue for small theatre productions, cabaret, live music, dances and rehearsals. It consists of a level floor, with a brand new raised stage area (with wing space), installed in August 2007, at one end. Level access is provided from the car park, and through to the Critics Club bar.
Facilities available include: Stage lighting equipment, with full coverage of stage and hall areas; Sound / public address system; Stage with wing space and brand new manually operated tabs; Piano; 100 matching upholstered chairs (linkable); Variety of tables (round, square & rectangular)
Formed in the 1960's, the Wellington Arts Association (WAA) brings together all groups interested in the Arts in the Wellington area under one roof and promotes their activities.
It is the home of The Wellington Pantomime Group, The Wellington Operatic Society, The Civic Players, Genesis Youth Theatre Group, Spectrum Arts And Crafts, Wellington Acoustic Club and our own in house bar - The Critics Club.
